Expressing thanks is something that is drilled into most of us from a young age. It’s even an exercise that is practiced Nationwide on the third Thursday of November each year. Some spend the days leading up to Thanksgiving, focusing on the first half of the word, thanks. There is much benefit in verbalizing what you are thankful for, since we are wired to hold onto the negative. We so often pass by the good in our lives and what motivates us, opting to focus more on what weighs us down.
This cake is quick and easy to prepare. Cutting the apples is the most difficult part and that clearly is not too taxing. It is wetter than a coffee cake and has the lovely accent of juicy apples. If you choose it has a hint of ginger. A nice warming cake for the Fall/Winter Holiday season! I found a similar recipe online a while ago and could not be happier. I will add more pics in time, but someone wanted me to post it to give it a try!

I was attempting to review the Luna Cup Menstrual Cup and I mistakenly purchased the Luna Menstrual Cup instead. I know, they are very similar in name. That is ok...mistakes happen. I will edit this article to include some comparisons, as I have the ability.
Over the years, women have improved their relationships with their bodies; but we are still so unfamiliar with them. We still swallow the lore, that our bodies are dirty and shameful. Our bodies for centuries have been presented as a mystery, like an ancient language without a Rosetta Stone. The human body is complex and glorious. There are aspects of our bodies, that we now finally feel acceptable to speak freely about. There are myths and shame accompanying those aspects of our bodies, that we are beginning to dissipate.
Back in January of this year, Jen Gunter M.D., a San Francisco Bay Area OB-GYN was interviewed for Self Magazine. In the article, Gunter goes after the claims made by the producers of many organic and natural feminine product. She “stresses that there are no toxins, aka poisonous substances that can cause diseases or illnesses at low amounts, in tampons, and notes that concerns about phthalates in applicators are also unnecessary.”
I can't wait to dig into some bangin' basil pesto! Like hummus...I love this stuff! You can change it up so many different ways to put your stamp on it, but we are going to do a standard Vegan Pesto!
